mulligan  > Computers > South Palm Mac Users Group
May 18, 2007. The South Palm Mac Users Group meets regularly on the third Friday of each month at the South County Civic Center in Delray Beach, 16700 Jog Road at 1 PM. The Center is located a little South of Linton Blvd. If you have questions or problems about Macs, we try to help you with them. If you have any questions about the club and want more information, call Abe at 561-637-1735 or email at obwiz@aol.com

We also demo quite a few Applications and Utilities with our new Projector and Screen. In addition, we send out a few times each month our Newsletter SPMUG Tips and Tricks to all members who have email addresses. We try to have free raffles for prizes at every meeting. So come, meet our friendly group and start enjoying your computing experience.

Technical Stuff: These were shot with a Nikon D80 digital camera with an 18 to 200 VR zoom lens. I used an ASA of 400 with auto exposure so the lens, in this room, was always wide open, f 5.6. The shutter responded with speeds from about 1/15th to 1/60th of a second. This slooow exposures were possible because of the VR (vibration reduction) feature of this lens. For more information on any photo, move your mouse arrow to the right side of the image and a menu opens. Click on Photo Info. To easily capture a photo to your Macintosh Desktop click on Save Photo in the same menu.

mulligan > Dean listens to another question.
mulligan > The long meeting is over, except we back Dean into a corner to continue to squeeze more information from him. He does not wear down and he does not refuse any questions. We finally let him go 'cause he wears us down!
mulligan > Members check in for the meeting. Each is given a number -- in hopes he or she will be called to receive a prize of a small computer gadget or book.
mulligan > Jack Ruda and our speaker, teacher and tech wiz Dean Hoffman sync the computer and LCD projector so we all can follow the action.
mulligan > Dean and Jack are now ready to go.
mulligan > Technition Dean Hoffman is usually our speaker. Every question is answered and we throw the questions at him at a fast rate. It seems there is nothing he does not know about our computers, especially the Macintosh.
mulligan > Dean is an avid beliver in Apple computers and operating systems. He services and repairs all computers, PC's as well as Macs, so we know were his pro-Mac opinions come from. Yea Mac!
